If you’ve been reading my blog for some time, you have seen posts featuring one of my best friends Lynsie who lives 3 hours south of us.  We try to visit and get together with Lynsie and Noah a few times a year.  It was a pleasure to visit on the first weekend of the year!

Noah suggested we go to the pond and go fishing. Fishing in January? In the cold? Well, we did it! There were no fish biting that day, but the boys really liked learning slightly about fishing.  Here are some photos from our time at the pond and hanging out a bit with them!  You’ll also see an appearance from Cale, their beautiful American Bulldog.  He’s super sweet and well trained. I included two photos involving Lynsie and Rob getting sand or rocks in their TOMS shoes. I thought it was hilarious that they each wore them in the cold and each got stuff inside their shoes!  Aw. The sun felt good and made it easier to endure the cold.  We were outside for a couple of hours!

It was a blessing to be with them. Lynsie cooked amazing meals for us and they gave us Christmas presents which were really cool and sweet as well. Rob and I can finally have some date nights now! Thank you, my dear friends!!!!
