A weakness: yellow dresses. I actually have a hard time finding things in my size, but when I saw that Quincy had a yellow dress in her shop with my exact bust & waist measurments, I tried to ignore it – but couldn’t. She had a moving sale and I decided that I would purchase it since she gave me a great deal on it. The dress was really long. I’m tall and it touched the ground. I used to really adore very long dresses, but I pictured this one shorter. Therefore I hemmed it. I’m happy with the result. My dad told me this is his favourite of my dresses (having things “father approved” is always sweet). Thanks to my hubby Rob for taking the photos for me.
My Sound of Music moment. . too bad my one hand isn’t on the top of my head while singing out.

  11. What a lovely buttery yellow and I adore the eyelet details! The hem length you chose looks wonderful too, and I love how bringing up the hem like that appears to have taken the dress back in time from the 70's to the 50's ๐Ÿ™‚

  14. My best friend has an affinity for yellow dresses…. any time I buy one for myself, they usually end up going to her. Which is okay, because I can admire the dress when she wears it, haha.Very very cute! =]
