I had a really busy weekend with many things going on. Some of what we did will show up in future outfit posts, but otherwise right now I’m looking forward to another school year as a homeschooling mama (I did a pre-k curriculum last year). My Leto will be entering kindergarten soon. He’s been learning how to read and write since spring, which is really exciting. We’re potty training Micah too, which he did really great for a couple of weeks. Now he’s telling us he’s “scared” of the potty. Oh no!

Otherwise I don’t know how many of you are bookworms, but I’ve adored sending out books that sit on my shelf here at home that I know I’ll never read again. Paperback Swap is a great site where I’ve been able to send out a bunch of books and every time a person receives a book and marks that they received it, I get a credit so I can get a book sent to me (and eventually I can send that back out if I want tp). It’s pretty fun because I don’t like keeping things and I read very regularly (you may have noticed if you’ve seen my goodreads widget).  In about 4 days total I was able to send out 7 books, I have 5 I’ll be sending out tomorrow, and I’m receiving 2 books that were sent out to me.

  1. I shall have to check out whether this book swap website works for Canada or not. It sounds like a wonderful idea for someone like me who goes through book very very fast. 🙂 Thanks for letting us know about it.

  2. hmm. Not too sure, because they have a map of shipping it throughout the US only, so I think it's only a US site. 😦 Definitely look up info just in case though!

  3. whoa, the dress for your feature outfit is so pretty!  and i love her hat too.  and becky may is one of my favorites!!!

  4. I'm the opposite – I keep all my books (unless I don't finish them because I disliked them so much, but that happens very infrequently). I wish I was less of a hoarder but I love being surrounded by all my books. I am going to check out if that site does the UK though.

  5. The only books I tend to keep are ones that I use for reference (like my human trafficking books). There are some otherwise I am keeping for when the boys are a little older (like my Roald Dahl books). I am pretty sure they don't allow shipping to the UK on that site, but I am sure there is a UK version of it.

  6. I think you're right, but I shall have a closer look. I need to be more circumspect about the books I keep – I certainly don't need them all and they're the heaviest things to move !

  7. L.O.V.E. Shareen's look! great eye. ❤ http://www.rubygirlblog.com
