Although I finished this quilt a couple months ago now, I have yet to give it to my 4 year old niece, but her parents say that she’ll love it. I made this for her because she loves things with wings (and loves pink, so I made sure to include pink in it). Also, my brother tells me all the time how he accidentally calls his daughter by my name because she is a lot like me (I am about 7 years younger than him). I can’t wait to give it to her next time I see her (they live in another state, by the way). It was very fast and easy to make. I found a free pattern here (but I don’t see it on their list of free patterns any longer). I got the fabric from The Meandering Thread (and they are so kind). I think the only thing I’d do differently now that I am seeing the photos on display would be to use a pink thread for the applique borders around each butterfly, but it is still lovely as it is. The backing was a bright pink fabric (you can sort of see it through the light in these photos here too.
