Although Father’s Day did just pass, I made this quilt for my mom who wanted to give it as a wedding anniversary present to my dad.  It has been in his possession for over a month now and he has used it and loves it (and held it up for me in the photo above because I had bad sun glare on the outdoor pictures I had originally taken of it).

This quilt is one of my favorites.  I made it from a pattern and using fabric from Connecting Threads. I used the same fabrics to make my mom a quilt back a few months ago, and figured they should be all “matchy-matchy” as an old married couple of 45 years. Both quilts look different from each other though.  I used the extra fabric from both quilts for the backing of this quilt (I really didn’t want to have to buy more fabric, so it worked out well).
