I am seriously behind in posting the quilts more than anything (I have 3 more quilts I finished since this one), so I might make one more quilt post this week to catch up slightly.

I made this quilt for my friend’s friend’s baby boy in early August.  My friend (she is more like a sister as she is my brother’s best friend and she has been there for me since I was about 11) lives in Germany with her family right now (though she is from my hometown).  She told me, “Can you just make a blue and orange baby quilt?  You can do whatever you want and I’ll pay you.” That was that. 4 days later I finished it.  I sent it out to her friend who is in Texas.

She loved the result as did her friend, thankfully (who went crazy over it).  I bought fabric from JoAnn Fabric for this one.  The idea of the pattern was from Kid’s Quilts (though I can’t find it on their site now, I’ve had the pattern for over a year and finally used it), but I tweaked it and changed it (size wise).  It was a fun one.
