I really do feel badly that Micah was born in a time of year where everyone is packed with plans that cause celebrating his birth either forgettable or a burden.

I feel badly because we were unable to go and do what he really wanted to do for his birthday: bowling.  There were leagues that night and with the holidays, things were a little too crazy there anyway. We hope to take him this week to make up for it, which he is excited about.

He did want to go to the little cafe we go to here and there (they serve Fair Trade), where he really wanted a cinnamon roll.  He loves those!  We bought one there, but he wanted to eat it at home, so we did that.  He was truly happy.

He did get to have a great lunch, got to explore in the snow, eat some ice cream, and had a dinosaur toy bought for him by my parents that he played with all night long (and continues to play with each day, thankfully).

This little guy is 8 now!  We are glad God gave him to us!
