I’m Not A Robot; 2017

Starring: Yoo Seung Ho, Chae Soo Bin, Uhm Ki Joon, Hwang Seung Eon, Kang Ki Young,
This was so strange in the beginning!!!  Some man has an allergy to people.  He can’t have any contact with any of them and it is linked to something psychological, but what that is, you’ll have to learn over time.  Because of this issue, he has found companionship through robots.  There is a company that makes an android that might be able to be his friend while cleaning the house for him too.  The problem is that he wants it immediately and it is not exactly finished.  It looks exactly like a certain person though, so they hire her to pretend to be the android for him while training her how to act like their robot while it is still in the works of completion.  This causes lots of drama and hilarious situations, but also it forms a very cute story.
content: drinking/drunkenness, deceit, kissing, swearing

One Percent of Something; 2016

Starring: Ha Suk Jin, Jin So Min, Im Do Yoon, Kim Sun Hyuk, Kim Hyun Min
A man is inheriting money from his grandfather.  The grandfather was rescued from something that happened to him by a school teacher so he decides instead that he’ll leave his money to her and try to have a way that his grandson can marry the girl since she is so king.  Of course they don’t want to marry, so instead they have to date for six months in order for the grandson to receive his name in the will again for the inheritance.  The show is all about the awkwardness between the forced couple and how perhaps there is something that can actually connect them to one another.  It is a really funny and very romantic story though.
content: kissing, there is some kidnapping at one point, and there is drinking and swearing here and there like most Kdrama

Reunited Worlds; 2017
3.5 Stars
Starring: Yeo Jin Goo, Lee Yeon Hee, Ahn Jae Hyun, Lee Shi Un, Park Jin Joo

In the first episode, there is a group of friends in their last year of high school who seem excited that the year is nearing its end.  Two of them are really close friends and seem to have feelings for one another.  The male friend dies suddenly.  12 years pass and he returns.  His friends, including the girl he loved are now older, but he looks exactly the same.  He decides to figure out why he has returned and visits his friends and family.

My thoughts of this show the whole time was that it was really sweet and I felt even though it was a bit of a romantic drama, it had some psychological thrills to it, though not a lot.  I have always been drawn to those types of stories.  This show had some charming sequences and very fun moments while completely heartfelt. This is a 40 episode show (each episode is half an hour long, so it is like having 20 episodes of a regular Korean Drama).

Content: blood shown on an injured/killed person, punching shown, some language, drinking/drunkenness

Manhole; 2017

Starring: Kim Jae Joong, Uee, Jung Hye Sung, Cha Sun Woo, Lee Sang Yi, Kim Min-Ji, Jang Mi-Kwan, Kang Hong-Suk

I started watching this show and stopped about twenty minutes in (keep reading).  Then I started to watch the show above.  Once I finished that whole show, I went back to finish the first episode of this show.  I tend to feel that if a show doesn’t capture me within the first episode, I don’t really dig it, but the very end of the first episode, something crazy happens.  When that happened, I wanted to know what happened next.  Then after that episode I just kept wanting to see each one.  I loved how unique each episode was from the next!!!

Let me tell you a little bit about this show so you will watch the first episode through too.  It starts out with some drunkard of a guy who is obsessed with the woman who grew up next door from him for his whole life.  She is going to get married and he has never confessed his love to her.  He is upset and just when he goes to talk to her a bit about the situation, he time travels through a manhole.  That is pretty much the summary of the first episode without things being spoiled.  He has no control over where he goes and what happens  each time he goes through that manhole, but each time he learns a new lesson.  My favorite episode was so so good and I wish I could tell you about it.

The characters throughout this show are so much fun to learn about.  There will be times you cheer on for some people and other times you go, “Oh no! I don’t like that after all.”  It just keeps surprising you and makes you mad and sad and happy and overjoyed.

content: drunkenness, fist fighting with blood shown, a few fight scenes actually, swearing (not that much), kissing, talk about people living together who are not married, implied sexual things without ever showing an ounce of it, deceit, attempts of murder and near death experiences
